The Wrong Lesson

There was a time when violence in our community came in wearing hoods and burning a cross…

now we wear the hoods and burn each other.

It seems we’ve learned our lessons well, but I’m sure they were the wrong lessons.

The burning cross was the beginning of a subliminal message to remove God, Church, and a Moral Foundation from our way of life.  When we held those close, we stood firm in the face of adversity, struggle, and oppression.  Now we create struggles and adversity for each other by becoming the oppressor.  Just ask yourself, would your forefathers, the ones who gave their lives for freedom, the right to vote, education, and equal opportunity…

Would they accept the things we commonly call O.K.
