Faith isn’t pretty. At least, it isn’t supposed to be. If your faith is easy, it’s not faith. You see, the very definition of faith requires that there are obstacles, or struggles, or something in the way of making what you believe in a definitive worldly fact. This means that your belief in God takes work that will directly oppose your feelings and emotions. This opposition is what makes even the strongest Christian upset, troubled, or depressed. And the more and more I learn, the more and more I recognize that imperfection in faith is the very message of the grace of our Savior.
