Change: Moving from Bitterness to Forgiveness

We prayerfully need to ask Jesus to bring to our awareness each of us who, at any time in the past, has caused pain to our heart and against whom we have held bitter feelings.

Remember, Jesus knows the true condition of our heart, so if we have prayed and He brings someone to our minds, don’t discount it. Be sure to write it down and pray about it, even if we think that it is in the past and dealt with. Perhaps Jesus wants to work deeper healing on that matter or teach us something that we may not be presently conscious of. Frequently the enemy will try to persuade us to not deal with it, to keep us from the healing and blessing that Jesus has for us.

Maybe it could be a Family of origin: Like a father, mother, step parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, present or past in-law family, etc. What about Other people: friends, neighbors, those you associated with in schools, clubs, work, church, others, even God (ways you have felt that He wounded you), and Yourself (choices you made that cause yourself pain). The Nuclear family: The spouse, children, grandchildren, or past spouse(s)

I have learned through my own experience that one has to move from (All) the bitterness to forgiveness. Because if I wouldn’t I would not be where I am today. Letting go of the old and new bitterness asking Jesus for His help to keep pressing forward. We will always have people who will intentional are not intentional hurt us with their words, and actions. Jesus he was always hurt by people words and actions. Still He took it all to the cross, and forgave them. In Luke 23:34 Jesus said, ” Father forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up His clothes by casting lots. Change: It will be up to each and every one of us to want to make that change. First comes Confession: 1 John 1:9 (If) we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.1 John 1:10 (If) we claim we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar and His word has no place in our lives. Wow!! It is a choice and not a force. Jesus will never ever force us to love Him. Take this to Heart. God Bless!
