Hi!! everyone!! GOD is Good all the time. Not sometimes, Not a few times. ((All)) the time. Today I wanted to talk about hugs. I do believe many of you may have notice that Sister Betty jo gives out hugs. I have read: Romans 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God. There are blessings that comes with hugs. Today I’m going to share my own blessings about them.  It is Jesus Christ Will for me to do so today. As a child I was raised in a home that we didn’t get a lot of hugs unless my dad was home.  My mother believe that as long as she was working and having a roof over our heads and food in the fridge was enough to let us know that we were being loved.  As a child I would get my hugs from my dad who was a military man. Who fought for this country. He was not at home as much as I would have wanted him too be. But as a child one could not understand why dad wasn’t at home as we as children would have loved for him to be. We as children dare to ask Questions, nor talk back.  Because they were the Adults and we were the children. 🙂

I can recall my dad had no problem in hugging. I can never forget that. I truly do believe that it had became a habit for me. His arms were so warm, and loving. I was called daddy’s little girl. 🙂 I can recall him calling me his little princess.  My mother it was hard for her to hug. I do believe that she came from a family that didn’t hug. So I been hugging folks since I was a child, teen, and as a adult. For me personally a hugging is comforting, affectionate, warm, and caring.  I remember when I was working caring for Elders. I would give them hugs, with a smile. And they loved it!! You don’t really have to say anything. Many of them started to hug back. I do believe it became a habit for them. Where they would be looking for a hug, and to give hugs back. What does that tell you? I do believe there are a lot of children, as well as adults that are hurting within. They not asking for a lot, I do believe they are saying (I need a hug).

Of course there are some people that aren’t affectionate, and there are some that are. Let us not hold it against them. I truly believe it can be teachable. I believe Jesus Christ had given and received a whole lot of hugs in His time. Because He was, and is a God with affection. I said that because I recall reading about Him being affectionate. John 11:35 Jesus wept. He had heard about the passing of Lazarus. Whom He loved dearly. You can read about the death of Lazarus in John 11.
Jesus Christ did not have a cold heart. He didn’t have non evil in Him. He was a shepherd with a purpose.  All  that he had gone through for us. He was Hated by people, lied on, called names. He was spit on, laughed at etc. Still He had love with compassion to do what He was called to do for His Heavenly Father, and for each of us. He had suffered for us. His Father had given us His Son.  John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. There is so much more I can share. Hopefully I will share at another time, if it be Gods Will to do so. I’m so blessed to be a blessing to share this.  I will continue sharing the Love of Jesus Christ as long as it be His Will. I’m so every Thankful and Grateful the Hugs He gives me everyday. I take non of His hugs for granted.  There is someone that needs a ((Hug))!! 🙂

” It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassion’s fail not. They are new every morning, great is they faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23 \0/\0/ ((Hugs)) 🙂

  1. Sister Betty Jo, I’m sending you a hug right now. 🙅What a beautiful post. Everyone needs a hug. I’m a hugger, but my husband came from a family that didn’t hug. They never lacked for anything. There was love, but it was like your mom’s love. As long as there was a roof over their head, clean clothes and food on the table, that was enough. I guess one doesn’t know what they’re missing if it’s not part of the norm. His dad was not an affectionate man either, so when I met my husband 32 years ago, I hugged him all the time. His mom too. It was awkward for them in the beginning, but now it’s second nature.
A warm touch is a very powerful. How wonderful it will be when we arrive home to be with our Heavenly Father and His loving Son Jesus, there will be plenty of hugs to go around for them and for our spiritual sisters and brothers. God bless you, my sister.

    1. lilyofthevalley777 God Bless you!! For sharing. God is A Father that knows all about each of us. He knew what, when, for me to share this blog. We have to be Obedient to Him. It was not part of my mother norm when I would Hug her, it was awkward for her. I’m hoping that she felt the warmth that I was giving to her. I’m so happy for you, your husband, and his mother. We at least must try. And that is what you did. Amen!! I’m personally looking forward to that day when I will be with our Heavenly Father and His Loving Son Jesus Christ. In the meantime we shall continue being about His Will!! 🙂 Thank you for the ((Hug)) Agape!! 🙂

  2. Thanks for the hugs Betty Jo. Although I don’t know you personally, I feel like you’re such a sweet person. Keep being who you are because you’re impacting people who need your virtual hugs 🤗 God bless!

    1. God Bless You Quinny.J I’m so Thankful and Grateful for the Sweet Spirit that Dwells within me. Our Heavenly Father He gets ((All)) the Glory for it. He changed my heart and life. When living in a world that is of darkness one can get caught up into the bitter, hurt, etc. ‘The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.’ John 10:10
When we come to the Lord and ask, seek, and knock. He knows our Needs. We ((All)) need ((Hugs)). Agape!! You keep looking up!! and putting ((All)) your Trust in Him. 🙂 \0/\0/

      1. Yes, Betty Jo, so true. Ask, seek and knock…the Words of Jesus in Matthew 7:7 resonates within my spirit and reminds me of the scripture in Jeremiah 33:3 where the Lord says “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” What a wonderful promise. Another one in Psalm 91 verse 15 where God promises that when we call upon Him, He will answer us: He will be with us in trouble; He will deliver us, and honour us.
So loving and faithful is our Heavenly Father. Love and hugs to you. Stay strong.

      2. Amen!! Amen!! I Sure will!! We will continue calling on Him for ((Help)) As long as we are living and breathing we are continually learning!! He has so much patients with us. When I’m Weak. It is He Who is Strong. Thanks for sharing those Scriptures. Have a Bless Weekend!! ((Hugs)) 🙂

  3. My mother was a hugger, but my dad wasn’t. It was how he was raised. We kids knew he loved us though. I also grew up in the times where kids didn’t ask questions, and they didn’t hang out with the parents, they played outside when we had company over. After my mom passed away, Dad changed. He hugged and told us he loved us.
Hugs back to you! Thanks for sharing this! 🤗🤗🤗

  4. You are such a warm petson Betty Jo and I apreciate all the love and hugs that you send. I wasn’t brought up in a family that embraced or showed outward affection but we know that we were loved. I learned the art of hugging and its impact because of Jesus Christ in my heart. The elderly and teenagers need a lot of hugs daily to encourage and strengthen. God has given you this gift of love so continue to use it for His glory. Have a blessed week in the Lord. Hugs!
